How long have you been a client of JUMP START?
Probably a year but with two 6 week breaks
Why did you originally start?
To improve overall fitness and to lose weight & sculpt a ‘body beautiful’!
What do you enjoy best about JUMP START?
- It’s outdoor
- Sweating – it must be good for me!
- End of the class when I’m lying under the trees doing stretches- the relief is overwhelming
- Feeling very pure for the rest of the day – knowing what I’ve done that morning
What goals have you achieved?
- Overall fitness has improved significantly – especially cardio capability, which is important to me because I suffer from mild asthma
- I’ve started running & am amazing myself how far I can get on the flat (hills are a different matter!).
- After a big night out I actually WANT to get up & run the next day!
What types of sessions do you participate in?
Group sessions once a week
Is there anything in particular that has helped you reach your goals?
- Determination
- Good company & a lot of laughs in the mornings – really helps get through the agony threshold.
- Hard task masters – Deb & Heidi.
What are your goals for the future?
- Increase running capability
- Continue to improve cardio – knock another minute off my next evaluation
- Flat stomach (I wish) & lose the love handles!
- Divest myself of a few kilos.
