How long have you been a client of JUMP START?
Since July 2003.
Why did you originally start?
I was run down, unfit and had a number of health problems associated with that. I also wanted to be able to keep up with my children!
What do you enjoy best about JUMP START?
Exercising outside in so many lovely locations. My trainer, my buddy and I have lots of laughs (often at my expense!) Also, there is a lot of variety both in terms of location and type of exercise.
What goals have you achieved?
I am a lot fitter and healthier than when I started. I have developed a healthy addiction to exercise.
What types of sessions do you participate in?
Buddy sessions (twice a week)
Is there anything in particular that has helped you reach your goals?
Well obviously my trainer, Ben. My training buddy Anne (who helps me keep honest and more inclined to turn up!!) But mostly my two little boys Ollie and Tom – they give me the biggest incentive one could ever wish for to keep healthy!
What are your goals for the future?
To keep going!
Any advice for people thinking of starting a health and fitness program?
Find something you like, don’t be too hard on yourself, and don’t forget to laugh!
