How long have you been a client of JUMP START?

Since November 2002!

Why did you originally start?

Although I was quite fit from working in the gym, I wanted to train outdoors, with trainers who could push me further than I thought I could go and to introduce variety into my fitness regime.

What do you enjoy best about JUMP START?

A heavy training session with Manuel (the best trainer ever) early in the morning in a light drizzle … where you get your moneys worth for every lungful of air.

What goals have you achieved?

My goal was to be stronger and fitter than when I started and to make back pain a thing of the past … as my osteopath puts it “you have rebuilt your body”.

What types of sessions do you participate in?

Mostly one on one training but with a buddy occasionally and with my wife on one day a week

Is there anything in particular that has helped you reach your goals?

I think of myself as self motivated .. but Heidi’s schedule and Manuels “just one more set” has taken me further than I could have gone on my own.

What are your goals for the future?

Keep going and going …. “Use it or loose it” is my motto.

Any advice for people thinking of starting a health and fitness program?

You don’t just owe it to your self but to your friends and family to be as healthy as you can be … all of us are much nicer people when we are fit.
