How long have you been a client of JUMP START?

Since October 2004

Why did you originally start?

I commenced personal training because I was uncomfortable with my general health and well being and needed an organised training regime to “jump start” me along the road to fitness and better health.

What do you enjoy best about JUMP START?

I enjoy the highly professional service both “front office” with the training sessions and “back office” through the top-class newsletters and website etc. I also enjoy as a local the opportunity to get fit in my own ‘backyard’.

What goals have you achieved?

I have dropped about 10kgs since commencing training, doubled most of my fitness test exercises
and knocked 90 seconds off my CV test. Overall I have regained the desire for exercise again.

What types of sessions do you participate in?

One on one training which involves a mixture of strength training with kettlebells, boxing and mixed cardio work.

Is there anything in particular that has helped you reach your goals?

I think Don Stevenson’s detailed knowledge of fitness and training methods has contributed greatly so far. Don has the ability to set appropriate workout levels to ensure that my goals will be met in a realistic and safe timeframe.

What are your goals for the future?

I would like to obtain sufficient fitness to compete in a half marathon in the future.

Any advice for people thinking of starting a health and fitness program?

Take it slowly and seek good advice and motivation from a good trainer
